As I have said, I have been camped out in Hebrews 3 and 4.
God continually teaching me about true rest.
True rest in Him.
True rest in Him.
True rest being a position of the heart.
At the core of that restful heart is belief.
If you remember in Hebrews the
Israelities didn’t believe God when He said I am giving you a land flowing with
milk and honey.
And
who can blame them?
If
God brought to me a beautiful piece of land that was filled with giants living
it, I confess I would have a hard time believing Him as well.
The irony of God’s promise was that the Israelites still had to defeat the giants in order to take the land!
That’s
right – STILL HAD TO DEFEAT THE GIANTS.
But
what did God say? He said take the land,
it’s yours. Get ready for battle and
take the land, for I am with you!
Again
they seemed to forget the promise of God’s word and the reality that He is WITH
them.
They
were looking with earthly eyes and not the true reality of God WITH them.
With
the spiritual shift in the atmosphere right now, I believe as Christians we are
now on the offense, ready to take ground and defeat some giants.
Warriors
rise up!
Once
being on the defense, the times have changed and God is awakening and equipping
His people to take ground.
As
I am resting with God and believing Him for the promises over my life, that
doesn’t mean it’s all going to come on a silver platter when I wake up
tomorrow.
The reality is, I still have to fight, battle and take ground.
The reality is, I still have to fight, battle and take ground.
We
already know that we are the victorious ones. God wins.
We win. Yet for now the battle wages on, and He wants us to step into the land, put up our weapons and fight.
As
I step into this new season, anticipating more and dreaming with God, I am
reminded of the Israelites who were looking with their earthly eyes, not able to see what God intended for them.
Therefore, I am praying God would give us spiritual eyes to see our true reality of Him with us and that He would give us the wisdom to know which giants to battle and
what ground to take.
May the warrior in you rise up today and defeat some giants!!
So…
To what land has God led
you to?
What giants will you
defeat?
And what ground will you
take?
What, then,
shall we say in response to these things?
If God is for us, who can be against us?
If God is for us, who can be against us?
