Mi familia :)

This post is mainly for my wonderful British friends who hear me talk about my family BUT now you can actually put some faces with the names!! :)

AND last but not least - little miss Eva

Life is best when shared...

I recently watched the movie Into the Wild. It's about a guy who leaves everything, gives all his money away and goes to live in the wild by himself only to die by eating by piousness berries. (Yep, I just gave the ending away if you haven't seen yet). BUT at the end just as he is about to die he is shown highlighting a sentence in a book that says:

Life is best when shared.

When I think back on my sorority days I have nothing but a smile on my face and great memories that shift through my mind. I think one of the main reasons I loved this time was because of the closeness that I shared with these women - there wasn't anything they didn't know about my life and I knew they had my back at anytime and vice versa!

Here's a few pics - reliving the glory days!

These ladies are just studs...plain and simple.

Graduation Party!

Few of my peeps!

Ever since then God has continued to bless me with great depth of friendships - even in England I am realizing how vital these are to enjoying everyday life!

God truly has made us for relationship!

Tea Time w/ Banoffee Pie

The other night I got to have "tea" with these lovely ladies - Beth, Grace & Mais.

I JUST found out that tea also means dinner AND apparently supper usually means a late night snack. This explains a lot of confused conversations I have had with people! :)

I was also introduced to Banoffee pie for the first time. It was delicious I must say!

The pie was still a bit cold, so we warmed it up on the lamp!

Mais and I, de-fizzling our fizzled drinks! This lady knows all the tricks!

AND to end the night we snuggled up on under the heated blanket and had some good chatty time.

I love these ladies and am excited for many more "tea" times with them!

Where I live! :)

This year I have been blessed to live a wonderful family here in Sheffield!

When we first pulled up to house I made a comment how I loved this blue door. Come to find out it was the door I would be walking in and out of everyday! :)

You can usually find me on this machine around 6am most days! No big deal!

Ruth, their daughter snuggled up with Guapa, the cat!

Sunday lunch with Grandpa. Judy is a great cook! Thank you Jesus!

She loves me!

So thankful to have a second home here in Sheffield! :)

Unexpected Thankfulness

Today I got a bit lost on the way to the office (I took a new route)! I am not one to waste time so I asked the first person I saw for directions!

Enter - Pelin, a civil engineering student from Istanbul, Turkey.

She of course knew right where to direct me and took me all the way there! Once at my destination she then turned around and headed back the way we came. She had taken me TOTALLY out of her way to make sure I made it there!

I found it interesting that this practicing Muslim was being Jesus when I was trying to just find anyway I could to insert His name. Thanks for the lesson Pelin!

After realizing what she did I asked if I could take a picture (yes, I did think this would make a great blog post)! She wasn't too keen on it so I went ahead anyway:)!

There she goes on her 15 minute walk back home!

Pelin - many blessings to you!

Back over the pond!

Well I am back in jolly ole England AND thought I would share a few things that have reminded me that I am not in America anymore.

The time says 18:30 - this still throws me off!

I still have to look both ways a few times to figure where the heck the cars are coming from.

Someone referred to Satan as a cheeky little monkey.

People talk about having a crack at things and being knackered.

This week in a meeting we all shared what we feel like the Lord is speaking to us in 2012.
Here's my sense...

Vision - God has given me a gift to give vision to things, so I am praying He continues to grow this area and move me into greater fruit with this.

Voice - I sense this will be a year I step into who God has called me to be and the voice He has given me.

Vast - I want to draw out and rely on the depth God has put inside of me - it's vast! :)

BAM! Come on Lord!!

AND a few pictures from my first few days back.
Sorry they are all of Rachel and Pippa - I need to get used to getting back into the habit of taking pics all the time!

I am sure I must have said something hilarious here! :)

Think this was our first attempt at a nice pic!

Rachel owning it!

Who knew Rachel was so into picture taking?

AND Thank you Daniela for being our wonderful photographer! :)
